Campaign to help needy persons continues

Srinagar, January 20 (KNO) : The campaign to help the poor and needy persons launched by Jammu and Kashmir Police in collaboration with UDAY Foundation and NDTV by the orders of Additional Director General of Police Shri Munir Ahmad Khan continues. During the campaign, Anantnag police distributed a large number of footwears and blankets among the attendants and patients in Sherbagh hospital and in an orphanage at Mattan. Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag Shri Altaf Ahmed Khan who was accompanied by DySP DAR, DySP Hqrs and SHO Saddar, distributed the blankets and footwear among the attendants and patients at Sherbagh Hospital Anantnag. Superintendent of Police Hqrs Anantnag, Shri Tahir Ashraf who was accompanied by SHO Mattan distributed blankets among the inmates of Orphanage Markazi Falahi Masturaat (MFM) Children’s Home Mattan. The campaign will continue and will also be held in other districts of the valley to help the needy and poor persons. There is a need for sensitizing the society of its responsibility towards orphans and needy, this was said by DIG SKR Shri S.P Pani. He said that this gesture of Police is to reaffirm the faith in brotherhood and underlined that Police is from the society and has a major role to play apart from professional commitments.(KNO)
